Its exclusive NubeFit™ insole —shock-absorbing, stabilising and anti-slip— together with its rigid outsole ensure optimal biomechanical support throughout the entire day, relieving overload on the forefoot and heel.

Design and Materials

Ethnic Upper in Microfibre and Beadwork

The ladies' upper is crafted in high-resistance technical microfibre decorated with ethnic beadwork, providing an elegant and contemporary finish. The adjustable velcro straps across the instep allow personalised volume adaptation, particularly beneficial for women with wide feet, hallux valgus (bunions) or mild pedal oedema.

NubeFit™ Anatomical Insole

The NubeFit™ insole incorporates three clinical functions in a single unit:

• Shock-absorbing: reduces impact on the heel and forefoot, relieving plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia.
• Stabilising: guides the gait towards correct biomechanical alignment, minimising excessive pronation.
• Anti-slip: ensures secure foot retention within the sandal, preventing blisters and microtraumatic injury.

Please note: This sandal is not compatible with the fitting of external custom orthopaedic insoles.

Rigid Outsole for Biomechanical Support

The rigid outsole acts as a functional lever element, distributing load evenly across the entire foot and reducing flexion at the metatarsophalangeal joint, which is particularly beneficial in cases of hallux valgus, hallux rigidus or hammer toes.

The Amalfi Black Sandal D'Torres® incorporates soft materials and a NubeFit™ anti-slip insole that minimises internal friction, features that are beneficial for low-risk feet. However, for diabetic foot with neuropathy or peripheral vascular disease, we recommend consulting your podiatrist beforehand and considering our DiabCare® range, specifically designed for diabetic foot management.

Can I use my custom orthopaedic insoles inside this sandal?

No. The Amalfi Black Sandal is not designed to accommodate external custom orthopaedic insoles, as the NubeFit™ system fills the internal volume anatomically. If you require compatibility with bespoke foot orthoses, please consult our  catalogue.

Is it suitable for severe bunions?

The Amalfi Black Sandal is indicated for hallux valgus at mild to moderate stage. The adjustable velcro straps allow pressure relief over the first metatarsal head prominence. In cases of severe hallux valgus or active bursitis, we recommend consulting your podiatrist prior to purchase.
