NubeFit™ Anatomical Footbed

• D'Torres® NubeFit™ System: high-performance technical footbed integrating three key functions: shock absorption, stabilisation and internal anti-slip properties.
• Cushioned EVA core: absorbs impact with every step, relieving load on the heel and forefoot. Particularly beneficial in cases of plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia and fatigued feet.
• Longitudinal arch elevation: anatomical plantar arch support that prevents pes planus collapse and reduces tension on the plantar fascia.
• Heel cup stabiliser: contoured cradle for the calcaneus, improving rearfoot alignment and preventing excessive pronation.
• Thermoregulating natural microfibre lining: with moisture absorption capacity of up to 8 times its own weight in water, it promotes perspiration evaporation, keeping the foot dry and free from friction lesions.
• Clinical note: the NubeFit™ footbed is fixed and does not accommodate a removable custom orthopaedic insole.

Outsole

Does the Palma Aquarela Sandal accommodate a custom orthopaedic insole?

No. The NubeFit™ anatomical footbed is fixed and integrated into the construction of the footwear. It is non-removable and cannot be replaced by a personalised orthopaedic insole. If your podiatrist has prescribed custom insoles, we recommend consulting other D'Torres® models featuring a removable insole system.

Is it suitable for feet with pronounced bunions?

Yes. The adaptable nappa leather and the wide last of the Palma Aquarela Sandal allow accommodation of forefoot deformities such as mild or moderate hallux valgus, reducing lateral pressure on the first metatarsophalangeal joint. For severe bunions or those with active bursitis, please consult your podiatrist.

Can it be worn by someone with a diabetic foot?

The Palma Aquarela Sandal does not belong to the D'Torres® DiabCare® range, which is specifically designed for the diabetic foot with ulcerative risk. However, its breathable materials and absence of aggressive internal seams make it compatible with low-risk diabetic feet (Wagner Grade 0–1). Always consult your medical team or podiatrist before selecting footwear if you have diabetes mellitus.
